[Somewhere around Christmas, Kirigiri can expect a messenger bird, carrying an anonymous package. Though exactly how anonymous it might be is up for debate, given the possibly familiar wrapping. But it's okay. This package is a lot smaller and a lot lighter than that one.
The fact that it's something from here pretty much guarantees that it's some sort of trap. And if she chooses to open it, it'll make the trap a bit clearer. All that's inside is a memory petal from the tree. But even without it playing (since whoever the owner is isn't around), it should be pretty clear who's behind this strange present, right?
The only real mystery is what could be on the petal, but for that, well, whoever wants to investigate this mystery would have to get in touch with the sender.]
[It's like a faint brush of wind but the reality is Nagito is attempting to reach her. After Hinata's arrival and his own chats with his friends. It's high time he told a little more about himself to Kirigiri.]
I hope I'm not interrupting anything. But, if I'm not I'd like to talk to you a bit.
Probably, but just in case she doesn't, here's a reminder. Another familiar box being delivered, this one way closer to the size and weight of the other one back home, not the small giftbox from before. There's no way, it could be that, right? Just because it weighs enough, and is the right size? After all, where would she even get that?
And of course, it's not, she's not even tacky enough to put a prop skeleton or one from somewhere in the box. Instead, if Kirigiri opens the box, there's just a bunch of rocks, wrapped carefully to keep Junko's favorite detective from trying to guess the surprise by shaking the box around. Oh, and a note that reads: “Were you expecting something else? Happy Father's Day!”
It's sort of predictable, she knows that, but who is she to deny such a hopeless inevitability? Kirigiri can despair over it happening (probably not) and Junko can despair over being so easy to guess. Everybody wins! Well, except the person who should be in the box, but it's a little late for that guy to win at anything.]
[Happy birthday Kirigiri! Today there's a lot of flowers being anonymously delivered to her home. Junko's not trying to outdo the Father's Day mystery box, so this is more of a small thing than anything else. Well, not a small thing judging from the amount of flowers, but with spider lilies to represent lost memories, camellias for dying gracefully, basil for hatred, and a host of other things, it's essentially a multilingual attempt at telling someone to drop dead through flowers, while throwing in a host of other distasteful comments.
Plus, with the negativity on the air this month, plus the sender's natural negativity, everything has this withered gnarled look to it. It might've looked nice originally (even with all the backhanded messages), but without some serious emotional work, these things can't even be put in a vase without looking more at home in a haunted or abandoned house.
[When Kirigiri opens her door on the day of her birthday, she will find an enormous gift basket. The basket contains different kinds of coffee, dark chocolate and some biscuits. Included is a note from a certain princess's flowing handwriting.]
Kirigiri-san,
On this day of your birthday, I wished to give you something that I knew you would enjoy. I consulted with Naegi-san and he said that you liked coffee. As a fellow coffee connoisseur, I took great pleasure in assembling this for you.
[Naegi lets out a small sigh, running his fingers through his still-wet hair. Kirigiri isn't done with her bath, but she should be soon.
It's... been a good night. Kirigiri enjoyed herself, both from eating the meal and teasing him throughout the entire outing. Even through all of the flustered embarrassment, Naegi was able to enjoy himself also. Being around her and being able to see her smiles... That's all he could ask for.
His heart thumps, traitorously. He shouldn't be so focused on his own joy when the focus should be on Kirigiri this evening, but... Naegi still can't deny how happy he is.]
This is lucky, isn't it...? [Naegi chuckles to himself quietly.] Being able to be here with her... I really am lucky, aren't I?
[Naegi quiets when he thinks he hears the bathroom door open. Kirigiri must be done already. He sinks further back into his chair and waits.]
[ a fancy lavender envelope will be delivered to kirigiri's doorstep today! it's sealed with a blue snowflake stamp, and when opened, it will reveal an invite. she can even invite her friends to go with her, if she's coming.
the party will be on march 6 oocly! and the address on the invite is weiss' home. ]
